Set amidst the serenity and timeless beauty of Wayanad’s famed mist-shrouded mountains is the new home of Victor and Ranjini Dey (of Tranquil Plantation Hideaway). The property looks down on the backwaters of the Karapuzha Reservoir, and with the Western Ghats in the background, the views are truly spectacular.
In 2008, Victor and Ranjini bought the property and started to transform what was an abandoned coffee and rubber farm. They traced roads, sank wells, landscaped the area and planted a variety of new crops. Ideas poured in, from friends, family and guests who had stayed with them at Tranquil earlier. After five years of hard work, their home Amaryllis is now ready to welcome you.
As in the case of our previous residence “Tranquil”, they decided to share their home with like-minded folk. Guests who were looking at a few days of peace and quiet in pristine natural surroundings, and who would like to enjoy the old world charm & luxury of a planter’s home – leisurely breakfasts, lazing around the pool, sleepy afternoons, tea on the verandah, evenings under the stars, followed by dinner. All this with an unmatched view!
As a guest at their home, you will be treated as part of the family. Fresh home-cooked meals, spiced with plenty of friendly conversation, warm hospitality and attention to your individual needs – the hallmark of a homestay experience.
