Palitana, Gujarat – Vijay Vilas Palace

At a Glance

Vijay Vilas Palace was built in 1906 AD by Yuvraj Vijay Sinhji of Palitana, a member of the Gohil Rajput clan when he was an active ruler as the Maharajah of Bhavnagar. In fact, it was built with the idea of being functional as the country retreat. With this plan did the ruler place it in the hills with great views of the Shetrunjaya Hill and historic Palitana temples. It was situated in a convenient location where it lies only at a distance of 4 kms from Palitana town.

The palace is located on 6 acres with 7 cottages and 12 rooms in the main heritage building. The rooms are well laid with attached bath and picturesque surrounding.

Food is simply awesome at Vijay Vilas Palace Hotel it’s simply irresistible especially the Gujarati dishes.
