Enjoy an authentic Indian experience at the Padmini Haveli guest home and soak up the village atmosphere in the old fort of Chittor in Rajasthan. The Padmini Haveli is a traditional southern Rajasthani house which was recently converted by Swiss couple into a nine-room guesthouse. Located in the center of the old village of Chittoor within the walls of Chittorgarh Fort, it overlooks temples and palaces. From the roof terrace, there are sweeping views of the city and the Aravalli hills beyond the Mewar plain.
Parvati and Sudhir Sukhwal and their beautiful children will welcome you to this amazing place and ensure that you have a delightful, traditional Indian experience for a few days while discovering the sights of Chittorgarh and soaking up the charming village atmosphere.
Your Hosts Parvati and Sudhir Sukhwal are both experienced qualified guides who take great pride in opening the doors to their culture and history to tourists. They both speak excellent French and English and have a great understanding of the needs and wishes of overseas travelers. Their aim is to offer visitors a warm, homely and authentic experience of Rajasthani village life and introduce you to the many places of important historical interest in and around the old fort.
They are assisted by staff from the village, thus involving as many locals as possible in the running of the guesthouse.
