This tour very comfortably offers you one of the richest experiences in ancient culture dominantly architecture and natural beauty in which several states of south India specialise.

Overview

You get to begin this rich journey at Chennai which is the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu. The city is like any other metropolis with its hustle-bustle and never ending rush hours. The next stop over at Madurai leaves you enthralled with special wealth of ancient architecture. The beautiful Meenakshi Temple, the Tiruprankundram, Teppakullam and the Tirumalainayak Palace are few to be mentioned.

Gradually the heritage and culture grow on you, kind of preparing your senses while you soak the incense laden air around; which is very typical of southern neighbourhoods! The journey proceeds to yet another green expanse called Thekkady which is well known for its spices than to the semi evergreen and semi deciduous nurturing.

The boat ride on the Periyar Lake is an interesting anecdote of your tour. The cool coconut palms, the blue soothing backwaters, the unforgettable journey in a Kettuvellum and the peaceful beach villages- one is left completely thoughtless awed at the natural beauty of Kerala!

The end of this tour at Mararikulam and then Cochin surely leaves you totally rejuvenated!!!!

Outlined Itinerary

Day 01 - Chennai
Arrive Chennai, You will be met and transferred to your hotel. Later today you will proceed for city tour of Chennai. Visit the Museum to see the bronze gallery with its superb collection of Chola art. Drive past the flower and fruit market, High Court building, Marina beach. Visit the Saint Thome Cathedral, Kapeeleshwar Temple and Snake Park.
Day 02 - Madurai
After breakfast, the rest of the day is at leisure to explore on your own, until this afternoon when at an appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Madurai 1540-1700. Meet & greet on arrival and transfer to your hotel. Later, you will witness evening Aarti ceremony at Meenakshi Temple.
Day 03 - Madurai
After breakfast, you will have private guided tour of Madurai including visit of Meenakshi Temple, Teppakulam, Gandhi Museum, and Tiruparankundram & Tirumalainayak Palace.
Day 04 - Thekkady
After breakfast, you will drive to Thekkady (3.5 hrs). Arrive Thekkady and check in at the hotel. Thekkady is enchanting as the road winds through tranquil countryside, rich plantations & thick jungles. Afternoon you will have boat ride at Lake Periyar. The heart of this sanctuary is the Periyar Lake where there are regular boat trips which are hugely popular and often prove to be far more interesting an experience in observing the delight and excitement of local visitors than an opportunity to see wildlife!
Day 05 - Thekkady
After breakfast, you will have visit to spice plantation. Though sprawling tea estates cover much of the landscape of Thekkady, plantations of cardamom, rubber, vanilla and coffee are also in plenty. Evening is at leisure to relax and explore.
Day 06 - Kumarakom
After breakfast, you will drive to Kumarakom (03 hrs) Arrive Kumarakom and check in at the hotel. Kumarakom is a small village that is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake in Kerala. Afternoon is at leisure to relax and unwind.
Day 07 - Kumarakom
After breakfast, you will be at leisure to relax and explore on own
Day 08 - Backwaters
After breakfast, you will drive to Alleppey Jetty (01hr) to board overnight houseboat. Check in at the Houseboat. Kettuvallam (Houseboat) is an ideal mode to experience life of local village life through backwaters. FULL BOARD
Day 09 - Mararikulam
Breakfast onboard, you will disembark houseboat at Alleppey Jetty and straight drive to Mararikulam (01 Hrs). Afternoon will at lesiure to relax at the hotel.
Day 10 - Mararikulam
After breakfast, today you will be at lesiure to explore on own the beach area/ local temples. We can arrange a day trip to Kanyakumari, the southernmost point of mainland India, lies at the confluence of the Indian Ocean, the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is a pilgrimage town dedicated to the virgin Goddess Devi Kanya whose temple overlooks the shoreline.
Day 11 - Mararikulam
After breakfast, today you will be at leisure to explore on own the beach area/ local temples.
Day 12 - Mararikulam
After breakfast, today you will be at leisure to explore on own the beach area/ local temples.
Day 13 - Mararikulam
After breakfast, today you will be at leisure to explore on own the beach area/ local temples.
Day 14 - Cochin
After breakfast, you will be taken for a half day private guided tour of Cochin. You will visit the most important sights of the city. Dutch Palace (Closed on Friday), Jewish Synagogue (Closed on Friday & Saturday), St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing Nets. Afternoon will be at leisure.
Day 15 - Mumbai
Breakfast is at the Hotel. You will be met and transferred to Cochin airport to connect with your flight to Mumbai 0825-1015. Arrives Mumbai where you are assisted with the connection to your homebound flight.
