Once you enter the heart of Rajasthan, any doubts of it being a desert state fade away. Thanks to the bright colours in the landscape; right from vast plateau base to green belt showcasing some of the rarest flora and fauna, from waterways to placid lakes, the surprises are endless.

Overview

The tour aims at touching some selected spots on the map kick starting at Delhi a rather modern way to usher the purely royal and traditional fare to follow later. Two sanctuaries, rambling waterfall and a wonderful lake welcome you at Dholpur. 

The Taj gears you up for the following architectural delights that follow at Karauli- Ramathra Fort followed by a brief introduction to the ancient art school of painting at Bundi. While you soak yourself in the old world charm of Shahpura, Dungarpur and Sardargarh don't forget to notice the reflections of these forts and palaces in the several manmade lakes all over. They are real paintings on the water!.
 
Apart from warm people and delicious cuisine everywhere, Rajasthan has traditional handicrafts, best of textiles and fabrics to offer too. The cherish able experience is given a tranquil and unassuming end at Pechawar and Samode before waking up in the different, modern and urban backdrop of Delhi once again.

Outlined Itinerary

Day 01 - Delhi
Arrive Delhi, meet and transfer to your hotel. Later proceed for orientation tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Qutub Minar – the 239ft sandstone tower. Drive past the India Gate; Parliament House [exterior] and the President’s Palace. Visit Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi – The Father of Nation was cremated and drive past the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk.
Day 02 - Dholpur
This morning take an early morning train to Agra 0615-0812. On arrival, you will be met and straight away drive to Dholpur (02 Hrs). Dholpur also Dhaulpur Rajasthani is a city in eastern-most parts of the Rajasthan state of India. Rest of the day is at leisure to relax and explore on your own.
Day 03 - Karauli
After breakfast, you will drive to Karauli (02 hrs). Karauli (also formerly spelled Karoli or Kerowlee) is a town lying in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The town is the administrative center of Karauli District, and was formerly the capital of the erstwhile princely state of Karauli. Rest day is at leisure to relax and explore on own. FULL BOARD
Day 04 - Karauli
After breakfast, you will take a private guided tour visiting to ‘Meena’ hamlets and hike to the nearby old fort ruins. Evening enjoy boat ride on Kalisil lake. FULL BOARD
Day 05 - Bundi
After breakfast, you will drive to Bundi (06 hrs). Bundi is a city famous for particular architectural note like its ornate forts, palaces, and stepwell reservoirs known as baoris. Rest of the day is at leisure to relax and explore on own.
Day 06 - Bundi
After breakfast, you will take a private guided tour of Bundi visiting the famous Bundi Palace and step-well. Evening is at leisure to relax and unwind.
Day 07 - Shahpura
After breakfast, you will drive to Shahpura (05 hrs).Shahpura Bagh was the summer residence of the rulers of Shahpura. Travellers, since time immemorial, have always stopped to rest and refresh themselves at this oasis and the Shahpura family is famous for their warmth and hospitality. Rest of the day is at leisure to relax and explore.
Day 08 - Shahpura
After breakfast, you will proceed for village walk around the region and interact with local people to get the real feel of the region.
Day 09 - Dungapur
After breakfast, you will proceed for village walk around the region and interact with local people to get the real feel of the region.
Day 10 - Dungapur
After breakfast, you will proceed for sightseeing tour of Dungarpur visiting the famous Junagarh Fort. Evening is free to relax and explore on own.
Day 11 - Udaipur
After breakfast, you will drive to Udaipur (3hrs) set on the shores of Lake Pichola and surrounded by hills, Udaipur grew in complete contrast to the harsh deserts of the rest of Rajasthan. This afternoon is then free to relax and explore.
Day 13 - Udaipur
Today is a leisure day in Udaipur to enable you to explore on your own. Further sightseeing can be arranged, please speak to one of our specialist who will advise what other sights there are to see in the area.
Day 14 - Mumbai
Breakfast is at the Hotel. Today at an appropriate time, you will be met and transferred to Udaipur airport to board your flight for Mumbai 0800-0945. Arrive Mumbai and transfer to Mumbai International airport to connect with your homebound or onwards flight... or travel to you next destination if you would like to add to this tour.
