They say it is difficult to catch the essence of beauty when it is in its purest form! It won't be an exaggeration about Rajasthan especially the wealth of architecture and craftsmanship at its height.

Overview

This special tour is loved by travellers who are art enthusiasts. Soon after giving an impressive start at Delhi ,the visual treat begins at Mandawa, which is also called an open art gallery where the Fort dominates the great landscape and the awesome frescoes are a delight.

The next destination Bikaner is strewn with palaces, forts, havelis and travel activities to the hilt. There is also the famous camel breeding farm to add to the fascination quotient. 

The following places like Jaisalmer, Nagaur and Jodhpur clearly state that here the palaces and forts where not just royal residences strategically built but were also built as a statement of power and stronghold. Interestingly, the colour and hue of the sandstone also varies from a deep red say in Jaipur and golden honey at Jaisalmer.

The story doesn't end here. The palce at Deogarh and the fort at Narlai and finally the majestic city of Udaipur the magic of the royal abodes is endless.

Outlined Itinerary

Day 01 - Delhi
Arrive Delhi, meet and transfer to your hotel. Later proceed for orientation tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Qutub Minar – the 239ft sandstone tower. Drive past the India Gate; Parliament House [exterior] and the President’s Palace. Visit Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi – The Father of Nation was cremated; drive past the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk.
Day 02 - Mandawa
After breakfast you will drive to Mandawa (7 hrs). Arrive Mandawa and rest of the day will be at leisure.
Day 03 - Mandawa
After breakfast you will take a private guided tour of Mandawa & explore this storybook town known for its colourful frescoes on a wide variety of subjects ranging from religious to the erotic; from copies of popular English prints to witty social satire rendered in the inimitable style of local artist. This afternoon is then free to relax or explore the markets.
Day 04 - Bikaner
After breakfast you will drive to Bikaner (4.5 hrs). Arrive Bikaner and rest of the day will be at leisure.
Day 05 - Bikaner
After breakfast you will take a private guided tour of Bikaner. Amongst the sightseeing today you will be visiting Junagarh Fort, one of the most interesting forts in Rajasthan, with its sumptuously decorated interiors. This afternoon is then free to relax or explore the markets.
Day 06 - Jaislamer
After breakfast you will drive to Jaisalmer (7.5 hrs). Arrive Jaisalmer and rest of the day will at leisure.
Day 07 - Jaislamer
After breakfast you will take a private guided tour of Jaisalmer – visit the fort built by Rawla Jaisal atop the 80 m high Trikuta hill, where a fourth of the population still lives and the impressive merchant mansions (havelis) including Patwon ki Haveli (1805). This afternoon is then free to relax or explore the markets.
Day 08 - Nagaur
After breakfast you will drive to Nagaur (5 hrs). Arrive Nagaur and rest of the day will at leisure.
Day 09 - Nagaur
After breakfast you will take a private guided tour of Nagaur – explore the Nagaur Fort and the local markets. The afternoon is then free to relax.
Day 10 - Jodhpur
After breakfast you will drive to Jodhpur (3.5 hrs). Arrive Jodhpur and rest of the day will at leisure.
Day 11 - Jodhpur
After breakfast you will take a private guided tour of Jodhpur. Visiting sites like Mehrangarh Fort - The fort is situated 400 feet (122 m) above the city, and is enclosed by imposing thick walls and Jaswant Thada – a white marble memorial built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant II in 1899. This afternoon is then free to relax or explore the markets.
Day 12 - Devgarh
After breakfast you will drive to Deogarh (5 hrs). Arrive Deogarh and rest of the day will at leisure.
Day 13 - Devgarh
After breakfast, you can proceed for a village walk and explore the village life in Deogarh on your own. This afternoon is then free to relax.
Day 14 - Narlai
After breakfast you will drive to Narlai (2 hrs). Arrive Narlai and rest of the day will at leisure.
Day 15 - Narlai
After breakfast day is at leisure to relax at the hotel and explore the local village and step well.
Day 16 - Udaipur
After breakfast you will drive to Udaipur (3.5 hrs). Arrive Udaipur and rest of the day will at leisure.
Day 17 - Udaipur
After breakfast you will take a private guided tour of Udaipur. Visiting sites like City Palace – Built in 1725, the grand City Palace is actually a conglomerate of eleven palaces overlooking the sprawling Lake Pichola, Jagdish Temple and Sahelion Ki Badi. Later in the evening enjoy a common boat cruise on Lake Pichola.
Day 18 - Mumbai
Breakfast is at the Hotel. Today at an appropriate time, you will be met and transferred to Udaipur airport to board your flight for Mumbai 0800-0945. Arrive Mumbai and transfer to Mumbai International airport to connect with your homebound or onwards flight... or travel to you next destination if you would like to add to this tour.
