Overview

The tour begins at the grand metropolis of Delhi which has a variety of attractions. Soon the rhythm sets in as you enter the first royal city of Jaipur, famously called the Pink City. Before you reach the Sun City or Jodhpur; the second largest city of Rajasthan, one gets to relax and gather your thoughts at a quaint destination called Nimaj.

The journey beautifully meanders through the multihued landscape of this culturally gifted state and reaches the opulent Yellow City or Jaisalmer. This grand structure houses nearly a quarter of the population even today. On one hand, Rajasthan is dotted with huge fortresses, palaces and museums and on the other, springs wonderful surprises in the form small yet impressive offbeat places like Rohetgarh and Sardargarh; both examples of great craftsmenship and architechtural genius.

By now, the curiousity and wanderlust reach a satisfying edge. At this point,the tour takes you to the vision in white; the beautiful Udaipur.The royal experience slowly penetrates within as one culminates at Mumbai for you homebound flight, but if time allows why not spend an extra night to enable you to explore the city. 

 

Outlined Itinerary

Day 01 - Delhi

Arrive Delhi, meet and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is then at leisure to relax after your flight. Extra sightseeing can be arranged if you would like to explore this afternoon.

Day 02 - Delhi

After breakfast you will be taken on a private guided tour of Delhi. You will visit the most important sights of the city. Qutub Minar - the 239ft sandstone tower - Humayun’s Tomb; India Gate; Parliament House [exterior] and the President’s Palace. Jama Masjid - The mosque of Friday was built from 1644 to 1658. Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi – The Father of Nation, was cremated and drive past Red Fort and a chance to wander through Chandni Chowk. Later evening will be at leisure.

Day 03 - Agra

This morning take an early morning train to Agra 0610-0815. On arrival, you will proceed for a private tour of the city visiting Agra Fort, Itmad-Ud-Daulah and a sunset visit to the Taj Mahal (closed Fridays).

Day 04 - Jaipur

After breakfast, you will drive to Jaipur (5 hrs) En route you will be shown around the heritage site of Fatehpur Sikri. Continue this afternoon to Jaipur arriving late afternoon then at leisure.

Day 05 - Jaipur

After breakfast, you will take a private guided tour of Jaipur and Amber Fort. Taking in sites like Hawa Mahal, the City Palace and Observatory. This evening is then free to relax or explore the markets.

Day 06 - Jaipur

After breakfast, you have a free day to explore on your own. In the evening, you will be transferred to Jaipur railway station to board the train to Jaisalmer 2345-1100+1. Overnight on board in the best class available.

Day 07 - Jaislamer

Morning on arrival in Jaisalmer, you will be met by Mystic India’s representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax at the hotel. If you would like your sightseeing tour today, this can be changed.

Day 08 - Jaislamer

After breakfast, you will take a private guided tour of Jaisalmer – visit the Fort built by Rawla Jaisal atop 80 m high Trikuta hill, where a fourth of the population still lives and the impressive merchant mansions (havelis) including Patwon ki Haveli (1805). This afternoon is then free to relax or explore the markets.

Day 09 - Jaislamer

After breakfast, the day is at leisure to explore on you own. This afternoon, you will enjoy camel ride to Sam sand dunes.

Day 10 - Jodhpur

After breakfast you will drive to Jodhpur (6.5 Hrs). Arrive Jodhpur late in the afternoon and then rest of the day will be at leisure.

Day 11 - Jodhpur

After breakfast you will take a private guided tour of Jodhpur. Visiting sites like Mehrangarh Fort - The fort is situated 400 feet (122 m) above the city, and is enclosed by imposing thick walls and Jaswant Thada – a white marble memorial built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant II in 1899. This afternoon is then free to relax or explore the markets.

Day 12 - Rohet

After breakfast you will drive to Rohetgarh (1.5 Hrs). Arrive Rohetgarh in the afternoon, rest of the day will be at leisure to relax or pursue independent activities.

Day 13 - Narlai

After breakfast you will enjoy the jeep safari to Bishnoi village and then continue drive to Narlai (2.5 Hrs). Afternoon is then free to relax or pursue independent activities.

Day 14 - Narlai

After breakfast, day is at leisure to relax at the hotel.

Day 15 - Udaipur

After breakfast you will drive to Udaipur (3.5 hrs). Arrive Udaipur and rest of the day will at leisure.

Day 16 - Udaipur

After breakfast you will take a private guided tour of Udaipur. Visiting sites like City Palace – Built in 1725, the grand City Palace is actually a conglomerate of eleven palaces overlooking the sprawling Lake Pichola, Jagdish Temple and Sahelion Ki Badi. Later in the evening enjoy a common boat cruise on Lake Pichola.

Day 17 - Udaipur

After breakfast, the day is at leisure to relax or pursue independent activities at the hotel.

Day 18 - Mumbai

Breakfast is at the Hotel. Today at an appropriate time, you will be met and transferred to Udaipur airport to board your flight for Mumbai 0800-0945. Arrive Mumbai and transfer to Mumbai International airport to connect with your homebound or onwards flight... or travel to you next destination if you would like to add to this tour.
