Kerala & The Western Ghats

COCHIN (2) - MUNNAR (2) - PALAKKAD (1) - OOTY (2) - WAYANAD (2) - TELLICHERRY (2) - NEELESHWAR (3) - MUMBAI (0) = 14 nights

It is certainly a great idea to look at Kerala through a different tour each time, because it is one place which cannot be felt closely enough in one visit.

Overview

This itinerary begins at Cochin with highlights like the Dutch Palace and the Fort Kochi as a peep into the past. The next city promises a walk in the clouds apart from offering the best views and scenery possible-Munnar, has the finest tea plantations and several nature points for soaking up nature. The next destination brings in that significant turn into the tour. Pallakad which literally means the land of the scented flowers (Alstonia)

It also happens to be one of the chief granaries of India. It is charmingly dotted with valleys, forests, rivers, mountains and streams. After such a sublime tryst with nature, it is time for another attraction of the Western Ghats and that is Tellicherry which boasts of a thousand year old mosque and Kerela's only drive in beach at Muzhapillangad. Towards the fag end of the tour you get to visit few destinations on the Malabar Coast which is adorned with many port cities like Calicut, Bekal, Guruvayur and Neeleshwar. It indeed promises to be a neat and unforgettable journey!!
