Kerala learn to cook South Indian Cuisine

MUMBAI (1) - COCHIN (2) - HOUSE BOAT (2) - MARARI BEACH (3) - MUMBAI (0) = 8 nights

The south Indian cuisine is by and large classified on the basis of community, religion and also the climate. There are groups that are strictly vegetarians and others who are strict about their non-vegetarian fare.

Overview

Since majority of the staple diet is dominated by rice and coconut, apart from vegetables and fruits, there is a great variety for you .There are parts like the Malabar region, which is highly popular for the seafood. This tour will also centre on giving you a cooking experience by our cooking expert. The cooking expert might just initiate you into the experience right at the spice or vegetable market. Show you around the choice of ingredients and then even give you some interesting facts about the cuisine. It would be surely a special experience for your taste buds exploring the sour tamarind or the fiery cloves or the aroma of the finished dish!!

The added charm of exploring the picture perfect destinations like Cochin, which is a modern city with a little old world charm enwrapped. Two more interesting features of this segment are the beautiful untouched beaches of Mararikulam that are oozing with scenic charm and peace, along with a unique journey in the rice barges. These have been revived again pain staking and today have become one of the sought after travel experiences. They are huge creations made without a single nail. They are constructed by joining jack wood and painted with black resin made from the cashew kernels. They are called house boats.

The whole tour capsule successfully captures the spirit of South India especially Kerala along with the gourmet exploration!!
