Overview

The discovery begins at the IT city of India, from where you proceed to the seat of the prestigious Wodeyar family. The city of Mysore is located at the base of the ancient Chamundi Hills. There is a lot to visit and admire in this ancient city.

The tour slowly meanders into a quiet town called Hassan which has glorious past and a beautiful Shakti Temple to be seen. Hassan is considered the Banaras of South India. There are many subsidiary shrines which have several stories of the scriptures carved on them. The next destination is Chikmagalur,  which is the best place to view neat, green tea and coffee estates. The natural beauty of this place is outstanding. The quest for the ancient moves ahead when we reach the city of Hospet.

It is one of the World Heritage Site of UNESCO- the ruins of the great Vijayanagar Empire. The Chennagaraya Temple is another specimen of the rich Dravidian architecture, a real magic in green soapstone. The tour takes a slow turn into a laidback city called Badami known for the Badami Fort and the rock cut caves and temples.

As the discovery begins to reach the end Goa comes in with beaches, churches, forts, temples.

Outlined Itinerary

Day 01 - Bangalore

Arrive Bangalore, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, you will enjoy private guided tour of Bangalore including visit to Vidhan Sabha, Bull Temple, Tipu Palace & Lal bagh.

Day 02 - Mysore

After breakfast, you will drive to Mysore (3 hrs). Arrive Mysore and check in at the hotel. Afternoon you will enjoy private guided tour of Mysore including visit to Mysore Palace, Art Gallery Museum & Chamundi Hill.

Day 03 - Mysore

After breakfast, you will make an excursion to Somnathpur with the famed Keshava Temple, which is a splendid example of Hoysala architecture. It was constructed in 1268 by Somnatha — a general in the army of the Hoysala ruler, Narasimha III. Also visit Srirangapatnam the ruins of Hyder Ali’s and Tipu sultan’s capital, from which they ruled much of Southern India during the 18th century. In the afternoon, you will visit Deva Raja market.

Day 04 - Hassan

After breakfast, you will drive to Hassan (3.5 hrs). En route visit to Sravanabelagola one of the oldest and most important Jain shrines in India with a history going back to the 3rd century BC. Arrive Hassan and check in at the hotel. Afternoon will at lesiure to relax at the hotel.

Day 05 - Chikmagalur

After breakfast, you will enjoy private guided tour of Belur famous for its magnificent Hoysala Temple Complex and Halebid and the Hoysaleswara Temple which has a wealth of sculptural detail, the walls covered with gods, goddesses, animals and dancing girls. Later, you will drive to – Chikmangalur (1.5 Hrs). Arrive Hassan and check in at your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.

Day 06 - Chikmagalur

After breakfast, you will enjoy private guided tour of Coffee Plantation and Coffee Museum. Afternoon will be at leisure for independent activities.

Day 07 - Hampi

After breakfast, you will drive to – Hospet near Hampi (8 hrs). Arrive Hospet and check in at your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.

Day 08 - Hampi

After breakfast, you will enjoy full day private guided tour Hampi ruins. Once the seat of the great Vijayanagar empire, is one of India’s most remarkable former capital city sites. Across the rocky outcrops are spread impressive ruins of palaces, temples and sculptures.

Day 09 - Badami

After breakfast, you will drive to – Badami (4 hrs). Arrive Badami and check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, you will visit Badami caves.

Day 10 - Badami

After breakfast, you will enjoy private guided tour Aihole where you can explore the sculptured caves and stone temple sites of this small area. They date back to the sixth century when the Chalukya kings ruled the region. Also visit Pattadakkal and the VirupakshaTemple which narrates episodes from the Hindu epics the Ramayana and Mahabharata as well as throwing light on the social life of the early Mallikarjuna. Afternoon will be at leisure for independent activities.

Day 11 - Goa

After breakfast, you will drive to –Goa (8 hrs). Arrive Goa and check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.

Day 12 - Goa

After breakfast, days are at leisure to relax or pursue independent activities. Car and driver will not be at disposal.

Day 13 - Goa

After breakfast, days are at leisure to relax or pursue independent activities. Car and driver will not be at disposal.

Day 14 - Goa

After breakfast, days are at leisure to relax or pursue independent activities. Car and driver will not be at disposal.

Day 15 - Mumbai

Breakfast is at the Hotel. Then, you will be met and transferred to Goa airport to connect with your flight to Mumbai 0715-0815. Arrive Mumbai where you are addicted with your homebound flight or onward travel arrangements.
