Located between the Greater Himalayas and the lofty Karakoram, this destination is different from the bright rainbow like tapestry of the rest of India; Ladakh is sheer magic in white.

Overview

The limitless expanse of Leh is dotted with several beautiful and ancient temples, monasteries or Gompas as they are called, a perfect bases for adventure and trekking camps too. 

The journey begins with adjusting to the high altitudes at Leh and then taking a trek 12,000ft, above the sea level at Ulleytokpa. The route to Ulley brings you to the Fotula Pass, the picturesque Mulbek Valley and the famous Spituk monastery. After letting the Tibetan Buddhist atmosphere seep inside, its indeed apt to visit the royal residence at Stok, which also has a museum housing the royal memorabilia.     

After a short action packed spell comes the most placid and an experience that is close to heaven, the sight of Tso Morori lake. Close your eyes and you become part and parcel of the cosmos! While you visit the colourful Nubra Valley and indulge in other tourist activities, invariably when you return home and close your eyes you cannot outgrow the magic of mesmerising Ladakh - the Land of Light!

Outlined Itinerary

Day 01 - Delhi
Arrive Delhi, meet and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon, you will have orientation tour of New and Old Delhi. Visit Qutub Minar – the 239ft sandstone tower. Drive past the India Gate; Parliament House [exterior] and the President’s Palace. Visit Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi – The Father of Nation was cremated and drive past to Red Fort.
Day 02 - Leh
Early morning you will be met and transferred to Delhi domestic airport to connect with your flight to Leh 0630-0745. Arrive in Leh, you will be met and transferred to hotel. Rest of the day is free to acclimatize to the high altitude of Ladakh. In the evening, take a walk to the local bazaar in Leh. FULL BOARD
Day 03 - Leh
After breakfast, you will have an excursion to famous monasteries of Ladakh. It is interesting to visit early in the morning to enjoy the praying ceremony at Thiksey monastery. Continue drive to Hemis monastery which is one of the most famous monasteries of the Ladakh region. Evening free to explore Leh market on your own. FULL BOARD
Day 04 - Uleytokpo
After breakfast, you will drive to Uleytokpo (5-6 Hrs) enroute visiting Likir and Alchi monastery. On arrival check in and overnight in Uleytokpo. FULL BOARD
Day 05 - Uleytokpo
After breakfast, you will have day excursion to Lamayuru village and Lamayuru monastery (Lamayuru monastery is one of the oldest and spectacularly set founded in 10th century). You will also visit the Chulichan Nunnery & Rizong Monastery. Overnight at Uleytokpo. FULL BOARD
Day 06 - Stok
After breakfast, you will drive to the village of Stok (5-6 Hrs) Enroute visit Basgo Castle; Spituk Monastery; the 555 year old Shey Palace, a summer palace of the Kings of Ladakh; Stok Palace and the museum of the royal family. Overnight in homstay at Stok. FULL BOARD
Day 07 - Tso Moriri Lake
After breakfast, Today enjoy the scenic drive to Tso Moriri Lake (8 hrs). At an altitude of 4520 metres this is one of the most amazing high altitude lakes in the Ruspshu Nomadic belt. Evening walk around the beautiful lake, visit Karzok village on banks of the lake and the village monastery. Overnight in Camp. FULL BOARD
Day 08 - Tsokar
After breakfast, you will drive from Tsomoriri to Tsokhar (4 Hrs) yet another salt lake of this region. On arrival check in at camp. Rest of the day free to explore the region, make walks around the camp or visit the remote Tsokhar village. Overnight at camp. FULL BOARD
Day 09 - Ayu
After breakfast, today you will drive on the Leh-Manali highway via the Tanglanga pass (5300 m) to the beautiful village of Ayu (6 hrs). Overnight, will be in the homestay in Ayu. FULL BOARD
Day 10 - Nubra Valley
After breakfast, drive to the Nubra Valley (6 hrs) via the world famous Khardongla Pass. At 5600 metres it is the world’s highest motorable pass. Continue drive to Deskit visiting the Gompa and then further to Hunder. On arrival, check in at the Camp. In the evening visit the sand dunes and optional bactirian camel ride (On direct payment). Overnight in Camp. FULL BOARD
Day 11 - Nubra Valley
After breakfast, you will have day excursion visiting hot springs at Panamik and Samastaling monastery. Overnight in Camp. FULL BOARD
Day 12 - Leh
After breakfast, you will drive down to Leh [6 Hrs]. Arrive and check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore the markets of Leh on your own. Overnight at hotel. FULL BOARD
Day 13 - Delhi
Early morning you will be met and transferred to Leh domestic airport to connect with your flight to Delhi 0825-0940. Arrive Delhi, you will be met and transferred to hotel. Rest of the day will at lesiure to explore on your own.
Day 14 - Delhi
Breakfast is at the Hotel. Today at an appropriate time, you will be met and transferred to Delhi International airport to connect with your homebound or onwards flight... or travel to your next destination if you would like to add to this tour.
