To help you realize this, we bring to you, ‘The Indian Maharaja’ – a true epitome of travelling extravaganza, offering indulgent rail journeys between Delhi and Mumbai (vice-versa).

Overview

A proud creation and a part of the prestigious train projects in India; the Indian Maharaja is one of the most popular luxury trains in India.

It offers you one of the most pampered train journeys from the national capital Delhi to Mumbai; where the journey comes to an unwanted end. You can go on a discovery spree of the city which gives you the taste of old and New Delhi that once used to be and the one you see today. Monuments built by the British and by the Mughals and even by the slave dynasties can be visited along with colourful and busy markets to grab a few trinkets! It’s a good enthusiastic start for the epic journey the following day, in the Indian Maharaja. As a matter of fact you are actually looked after and attended like the maharajas were once.

21 extravagantly furnished and designed coaches. All the coaches have a wonderful view of the passing countryside. The attendants are eager to serve. All the coaches are epitome of comfort and luxury. The food is served and presented by master chefs, always prompt and delightfully accommodating. In the entire journey, while you touch cream destinations like Agra, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Udaipur, Aurangabad and finally Mumbai, the train runs at night and reaches a fresh destination in the morning.

The sightseeing in this journey is highly rewarding as all the stations are full of wonderful places to visit like the Taj Mahal, city palaces, temples, baadis, havelis and much more before it reaches the shores of Mumbai!!
