Overview

It begins in Delhi where you witness how not so old, very very old and absolutely modern values and symbols of culture survive and shine together. The hotels are strategically decided so as to give you the chance to visit the famous monuments and buildings of historical value without wasting any time in travelling between them. There are extraordinary eateries and gourmet points in the city. Not to forget the great shopping options keeping the memorabilia in mind.

The next two destinations touch Agra for the Taj Mahal mainly and the Agra Fort and Jaipur for the grand Rajput architecture, food and the arts and crafts of Rajasthan. After the happening cities it is time to enter into the spiritual corridors, more specifically the holiest city of India-Varanasi. As is known world over, this city is older than the legend, history and tradition all put together. It is the city of temples, pristine river fronts, colourful traditions and home to Vedic philosophy, arts, music, earthy cuisine and some traditional games too. One needs to absorb this city within to cherish it having visited this later!

From the sacred rivers to the sacred mountains, the tour takes you to Kathmandu; originally known as Kantipur in the medieval times. Kathmandu is the city of stupas, ancient temples and of course the route to the breath taking views of the Everest; which happens to be the main attraction. Nepal is also the house to repute mountaineering schools and not to forget the ancient architecture like the exquisite Kashth Mandapa or the wooden shelter from where the city actually derives its name.

Outlined Itinerary

Day 01 - Delhi

Arrive Delhi, meet and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is then at leisure to relax after your flight. Extra sightseeing can be arranged if you would like to explore this afternoon.

Day 02 - Delhi

After breakfast, you will be taken on a private guided tour of Delhi. You will visit the most important sights of the city. Qutub Minar - the 239ft sandstone tower - Humayun’s Tomb; India Gate; Parliament House [exterior] and the President’s Palace. Jama Masjid - The mosque of Friday was built from 1644 to 1658. Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi – The Father of Nation, was cremated; drive past the Red Fort and a chance to wander through Chandni Chowk. Evening will be leisure.

Day 03 - Agra

This morning take the early train to Agra 0615-0812, on arrival you will proceed for a private tour of the city visiting Agra Fort, Itmad-Ud-Daulah and a sunset visit to the Taj Mahal.

Day 04 - Jaipur

After breakfast you will drive to Jaipur (5.2 hrs) Enroute you will be shown around the heritage sites of Fatehpur Sikri. Continue this afternoon to Jaipur, arriving late afternoon then at leisure.

Day 05 - Jaipur

After breakfast, you will take a private guided tour of Jaipur and Amber Fort. You will be visiting the sites like Hawa Mahal, the City Palace and Observatory. This afternoon is then free to relax or explore the markets.

Day 06 - Delhi

After breakfast you will depart for Delhi by road (6 hrs). On arrival this afternoon, you are at leisure to relax at the hotel.

Day 07 - Varanasi

Breakfast is at the Hotel. Today at an appropriate time, you will be met and transferred to Delhi domestic airport to board your flight for Varanasi 1030-1145. On arrival in Varanasi, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Later in the evening witness the ‘Ganga Aarti’ on the ghats of river Ganges.

Day 08 - Varanasi

Morning proceed for a boat cruise on river Ganges. After breakfast at the hotel you will take a private guided tour of Varanasi – visiting the ancient temples and exploring the markets of Varanasi. Later visit Sarnath - dominated by the Dhamekh Stupa supposedly marking the point where Buddha delivered his sermon.

Day 09 - Kathmandu

Breakfast is at the Hotel. Today at an appropriate time, you will be met and transferred to Varanasi airport to board your flight for Kathmandu 1230-1340. Arrive Kathmandu and rest of the day will be at leisure.

Day 10 - Kathmandu

Breakfast is at the Hotel. After breakfast at the hotel you will take a private guided tour of Kathmandu city & Swayambhunath. Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square. There are around 50 temples in the vicinity. Later visit Swayambhunath is an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city. It is also known as the Monkey Temple. Afternoon you will visit the Patan city. Evening is at leisure.

Day 11 - Kathmandu

Breakfast is at the Hotel. After breakfast at the hotel you will take a private guided excursion tour to Bhadgaon- It is another Newar city founded in the 9th century. Later Nagarkot, which is at the eastern periphery of Kathmandu Valley. Evening is at leisure.

Day 12 - Kathmandu

After breakfast, day is at leisure. Car and driver will not be at disposal. However, same can be arranged at nominal charges by contacting our local office directly.

Day 13 - Delhi

Breakfast is at the Hotel. Today at an appropriate time, you will be met and transferred to Kathmandu airport to board your flight for Delhi 1545-1710. Arrive Delhi and rest of the day will at leisure.

Day 14 - Delhi

Breakfast is at the Hotel. Today at an appropriate time, you will be met and transferred to Delhi International airport to connect with your homebound or onwards flight... or travel to your next destination if you would like to add to this tour.
