There is simply no limit to the variety that an Indian holiday can offer. This particular tour gives you Spirituality, heritage, history and adventure all in one journey.

Overview

The starting point is Delhi, India's Capital city, an open air museum. The next step takes you to one of the most spiritual places in India - The Golden Temple; the greatest place of worship of the Sikhs faith. Amritsar owes its identity to this pristine shrine. Apart from this, the city has the famous Summer Palace and the historical Jallianwalan Bagh, the 1919 massacre Memoriam. 

After a short spell of sublimity, you proceed to the Heritage village of Pragpur which is also home to the Kangra School of painting. From here on, you enter a little paradise nestled and sheltered by a canopy of the majestic Dhauladhar ranges, you arrive in Dharamsala. Apart from the Tibetan habitat the place offers the starting point to several trekking expeditions too.

You then approach the end of this wonderful tour in the erstwhile summer capital of the British Raj in colonial time, arrive in the hill station of Shimla. This city with its colonial era monuments, promises to entice with its old world charm!

The journey ends at Delhi but the memories linger on....

Outlined Itinerary

Day 01 - Delhi
Arrive Delhi, meet and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to relax after your flight. We can suggest optional locations to visit this afternoon like the Akshardham Temple of Kingdom of Dreams.
Day 02 - Amritsar
After breakfast you will proceed for orientation tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Qutub Minar – the 239ft sandstone tower. Drive past the India Gate; Parliament House [exterior] and the President’s Palace. Visit Raj Ghat where Mahatma Gandhi – The Father of Nation was cremated and drive past the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Later in the afternoon, you will be transferred to Delhi domestic airport to connect with your flight to Amritsar 1730-1850. On arrival in Amritsar, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 03 - Amritsar
After breakfast, you will take a private guided tour taking in the major sights of Amritsar like the Golden Temple and Wagah Border. Evening is at leisure to relax and unwind.
Day 04 - Pragpur
After breakfast, you will drive to Pragpur (04 hrs). The Kangra Valley, where Heritage Village Pragpur is located is panoramic and replete with history. It is the home of the famous Kangra School of painting and probably the world's - most certainly India's - oldest ruling lineage comes from here. Evening is at leisure to relax.
Day 05 - Pragpur
After breakfast, you will be at leisure to relax and explore on your own.
Day 06 - Dharamsala
After breakfast, you will drive to Dharamshala (02 hrs). Dharamshala is a city in northern India. It was formerly known as Bhagsu; it is the winter seat of government of the state of Himachal Pradesh and the district headquarters of the Kangra district. Evening is at leisure to relax and explore Mc Leodganj on own. FULL BOARD
Day 07 - Dharamsala
After breakfast, you will take private guided tour visiting Dalai Lama Temple - the residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in McLeodganj is surrounded by high walls and sits on the edge of a cliff overlooking the valley. Bhagsu Nag temple – an ancient temple of Bhagsunath have many fresh water springs close by, which are considered sacred by the Hindus The Norbulingka Institute named after the 18th century residence of the 7th Dalai Lama, teaches about 100 students various skills including wood and metal craft, silk weaving and thangka paintings. Later we proceed to Kangra State Museum - this treasure trove of the Kangra valley's arts, crafts, and rich past, displays artifacts that date back to the 5th century. Evening is free to relax and explore. FULL BOARD
Day 08 - Palampur
After breakfast, you will drive to Palampur (01 hr). Taragarh Palace, situated by a forested estate surrounded by tea gardens of the Kangra valley, one of the most scenic and unexplored areas of Himachal Pradesh. Evening is free to relax and explore on own. HALF BOARD
Day 09 - Shimla (Simla)
After breakfast, you will drive to Shimla (06 hrs). Shimla is often referred to as the "Queen of Hills," a term coined by the British. Located in the north-west Himalayas, at an average altitude of 2,205 metres (7,234 ft), the city of Shimla is draped in forests of pine, rhododendron, and oak, experiences pleasant summers and cold, snowy winters. Evening is free to relax and explore on own.
Day 10 - Shimla (Simla)
After breakfast, you will take a private guided tour visiting Viceregal Lodge and Hindu Temple. Evening is at leisure.
Day 11 - Shimla (Simla)
After breakfast, you will be at leisure to relax and explore on your own.
Day 12 - Delhi
Morning is at leisure to relax and explore. Later evening, you will take a train to Delhi 1745-2155. On arrival transfer to your hotel.
Day 13 - Delhi
Breakfast is at the Hotel. Today at an appropriate time, you will be met and transferred to Delhi International airport to connect with your homebound or onwards flight... or travel to your next destination if you would like to add to this tour.
