Siolim House MI Evaluation - Gold

Welcome to the home of Casa Palacio Siolim House, once a palace and the residence of the aristocratic Goan-Portuguese Governor of Macau, now a private seven room boutique hotel in Goa; and of our annexe 'Little Siolim', a three room restored villa for even more privacy or as a villa rental.

We have been awarded 'Heritage Hotel' status by the Dept of Tourism, India's answer to the Paradores and Relais et Chateaux. We are situated in the quiet coastal village of Siolim, Goa which is perfectly placed for the great beaches just to the north and the action of the Candolim - Calangute - Baga - Anjuna stretch to the South.

In 2001, Siolim House was a finalist for the UNESCO Heritage Prize, which considered her history and the work we did to restore her. In 2009 we completed a second renovation and tried to bring back more detail and more features than we did before.

Built as a Palace, restored as a home, and presently considered as one of the top boutique hotels in Goa, Siolim House retains her character as a Goan Palacio, one of the rare ones still standing in North Goa. Despite everything she remains a non hotel home, and the staff is all very eager to show you their best and to offer our hospitality.

The food is home food of the best quality - fresh produce, fish, age old village recipes, and local 'aunties' doing the cooking.
