Only 135 km north of Jodhpur, Nagaur was once situated on the important trade routes from the Arabian Sea ports to Delhi, and is one of Rajasthan's most historic cities. A medieval prize Nagaur has borne witness to almost every northern Indian dynasty of significance, including the mighty Mughals, and was an integral part of Marwar from the 17th Century. 

Within Ahichhatragarh lies Ranvas, the 18^th century regal residence of the Queen of Mahaaja Bakht Singh of Marwar-Jodhpur. Impeccably resord and converted into a fine resort by the present Maharaja, it consist of ten elegantly appointed Haveli, each with two luxurious suites. 

There are many dining and culinary experiences on offer. Our chefs create sumptuous royal repasts as well as light western and Indian meals using fresh, season and organic produce. Guests may choose from a variety of locations to dine in including the ‘Baradari’ and the Mahal. 

A unique SUJAN Spa experience is on offer with every Haveli incorporating its own treatment room. A variety of therapies using natural oil and age-old techniques have been especially developed for the discerning traveller. 

Ahichhatragarh, Nagaur plays host to the highly-acclaimed Sufi Festival, organised annually by th Meherangarh Museum Trust. Nagaur is also home to the famous Nagaur Cattle Fair whose dates change each year according to the Lunar Calendar. It is a magical setting for private parties, weddings and celebratory events. 

Nagaur is an extremely interesting little township with innumerable monuments tucked away in its charming streets and lanes. There are some lovely old Mughal mosques and the cenotaph of Amar Singh Rathore, who lived in Ahichattragarh and dared to defy the Emperor Shah Jahan himself, is a must see.
