They manage all properties themselves to ensure high standards of hospitality are maintained. Orchid Pool Cottage is a charming 1 bedroom cottage within 3 minutes walk of one of the most beautiful parts of Marari, where the backwaters meet the sea. The cottage is built in a contemporary style with white walls, a coconut leaf thatched roof and large glazed doors that open to the private pool and garden.

Orchid Cottage is ideal for those who want greater privacy, a secluded garden and a private pool. Recommended for honeymooners, romantic couples, 2 friends, a family with 1 child or an individual.

Orchid Cottage is adjacent to Hibiscus Heritage Cottage, so they can be booked together for a group of up to 7 people (4 adults & 3 children) 

Hibiscus Heritage Cottage is a 100 year old traditional Keralan wooden house that has been restored with loving care and attention to provide a real sense of Keralan life, with a few added luxuries! The historic exterior is complimented by a range of contemporary furniture fabricated by local craftsmen from reclaimed hardwood. It is surrounded by an abundance of tropical hibiscus flowers and mature trees including mango, banana, jack fruit, betel nut and coconut palms.

Hibiscus Cottage is ideal for those who want greater privacy, a large garden or an experience of traditional life in Kerala. Recommended for a small family, couples, honeymooners, 2 friends or an individual.

Hibiscus Heritage Cottage is adjacent to Orchid Pool Cottage, so they can be booked together for a group of up to 7 people (4 adults & 3 children) sharing the gardens, pools, BBQ and dining area. 

‘Nalukettu’ Beach Cottage - Malukettu is Malayalam for ‘Four Sides’ and is the name used for traditional buildings that have a central open courtyard. This stunning beach villa has just been completed and is designed as a fusion of traditional and contemporary, based on the historic Nalukettu plan. 

Wake up to the sound of the sea and the wild birds and step out of your room onto the white sand for your morning swim. The villa is situated in a beautiful location with the beach to the west and the backwaters to the north. It has an enormous covered veranda where you can sit and view the dolphins and sunset while sipping a cool juice or beer.

Nalukettu Beach Villa is ideal for those who want to be right on the beach and recommended for families, couples, honeymooners and groups of friends.

Personal Chef
At Marari Villas you can have the luxury of your own private chef who will help you experience the culinary delights of Kerala. Most of our properties have a personal chef included in the room tariff who oversees 1 or 2 properties. We have a recommended 7 day Kerala menu and the chef can also cook continental options on request, according to your requirements. 

Your chef may cook in your villa kitchen or in a separate kitchen nearby, depending on which property you choose. He is experienced in traditional Keralan food as well as continental options. Try his fantastic traditional Keralan Meals for lunch or ask him to show you how to prepare Fish Molly in your kitchen.

We consider the culinary delights of South Indian cuisine to be an essential part of your travel experience and we have developed a 1 week menu with our chefs to provide you with a real taste of Kerala. Our menu provides a full range of traditional breakfasts, lunches and dinners with vegetarian, meat and seafood options. The delicious local food is so varied that you are unlikely to eat the same dish twice, even if you stay for a week!

We also offer alternative meals, including continental options if you feel less adventurous.

Marari Villas located on the most pristine beach in Kerala and our aim is to provide a comfortable beach environment so you can enjoy it fully. All our properties have private beach facilities where you can spend hours relaxing on a sunbed or swinging in a hammock.
